Slickform® is
inexpensive, rapidly made to order concrete rustication forms
manufactured from post industrial waste products. Water does not
readily pass through Slickform®, thereby patch and repair is greatly
reduced. “Dusting” cannot occur. Slickform® requires
no special tools or adhesives. Simply attach Slickform® to the slab as
you would any MDF, Particle board, or plywood. When the panel is raised,
a glass-like reveal surface remains. Peery Brothers
Lumber has been supplying the lumber needs of concrete tilt-up
construction since it first began replacing brick. Over the decades we
have worked hard to meet our customers’ requests for readily available
and less labor, less waste, lower cost, dependable, and consistent form
material. The use of Slickform® solves all these problems with the added
benefit of utilizing resources otherwise discarded one cycle earlier. ![]()
Because during the initial cure process
the substrate does not come in contact with water, the substrate can be
shaped out of just about any agricultural product. Due to an always
ready supply, off-grade particle board or MDF are the preferred
substrates. When particle board or MDF are first manufactured, defective
and damaged sheets develop and are either thrown away or sold at deep
discounts. The laminate is
either vinyl or coated paper. The laminates are initially produced with
architectural prints used to simulate paneling and moldings. The prints
soon become obsolete and the laminate is usually thrown away.
Slickform® recycles
the substrate by utilizing its stability and natural workability while
protecting it with the laminate, and recycles obsolete laminate prints
never to be seen when used as forming. Textured laminates may also be
used. Lightly textured laminate telegraphing is obscured with the first
coat of paint, while deeply textured laminates may be specified for
effect. |
